Considered by many as the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942. He began boxing at the age of 12 and went on to win a gold medal at the 1960 Olympics. Ali became the world heavyweight champion in 1964 after defeating Sonny Liston in a stunning upset.

Fun fact: Ali's birth name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.

Mike Tyson was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1966. He began boxing at the age of 14 and went on to become the youngest heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20. Tyson was known for his incredible punching power and his ferocious fighting style.

Fun fact: Tyson once owned three Bengal tigers as pets.
